About us

A small crew on purpose

Staying small is the point. It's how the same person can quote your job, build it, and still pick up the phone six months later.

Who you're hiring

Daigle & Son's Builders is an owner-run building crew working across Skowhegan and central Maine. The owner runs every job personally — walking the property, writing the estimate, ordering the materials, and swinging the hammer.

Big outfits win on volume. We win on the parts volume tends to cost you: catching the rot behind the siding before it becomes a framing job, knowing what a Maine winter does to a house, and turning up when we said we would.

Most of our work is siding, flooring, and skirting, with additions and repairs alongside it. If you have seen our trailer around, that is us.

How we work

Rules we don't break

The estimate is the price

The only way the number moves is if you change the scope — and you approve that in writing before we build it.

One job at a time

We don't start your project and vanish to another site. Once we begin, we're there until it's finished.

Bad news travels fast

If we open a wall and find a problem, you hear about it that day — with options and what each one costs.

We leave it clean

Debris hauled out and a final walk-through before we ask for the last payment.

The standard

It's the details that date a job

Tight seams, straight lines, and clean transitions are what you still notice in five years — long after you've forgotten what the quote was.
